Built on AI Research
Focused on Patient-Specific Anatomy
Founded by leading AI experts and professors at Cornell University, Bart Selman and Carla Gomes, Deep Reasoning builds on more than a decade of research into deep learning, knowledge-based reasoning and optimization.

Knowledge Alongside Data
Our scientific roots extend beyond medical imaging to applications in scientific discovery and materials science. Work by members of our team on deep reasoning networks for materials discovery was featured as the cover article in the September 2021 issue of Nature Machine Intelligence.
That work reflects a central idea behind Deep Reasoning: AI can use knowledge and constraints alongside data to tackle difficult problems. In medical imaging, we bring that approach to the structure and relationships of human anatomy.

Mayo Clinic is both a clinical collaborator and a shareholder in Deep Reasoning AI. Our models are used in the workflow at Mayo Clinic’s 3D Anatomic Modeling Laboratories, led by Dr. Jonathan Morris, who also serves as our lead medical advisor for the collaboration.
The relationship provides experience with different anatomies, imaging conditions and complex cases, helping us refine existing models and develop new capabilities. The Mayo Clinic also validates the clinical accuracy of our 3D models.
